Book Expectations

I chose this book because I had never read a graphic novel, and this one sounded interesting. I'm not entirely sure what to expect, I did read a few pages of the book and I admit it wasn't that interesting. But I'm sure as I go on with the book it will get better. I think that we will get insight to everyday hardships and struggles and how the author, Marjane Satrapi, grew up. I think Persepolis will be different because it takes place in Iran but also because it is a biography and its in a graphic novel form, which, to me, doesn't sound too common.
